at last year's Crossville Police National
Night Out event

The City of Crossville Police Department wishes to extend our deepest appreciation for the outpouring of concern and condolences that we have been shown with the recent passing of K9 Cain. Community support, especially at this time, is always welcomed and appreciated.

We would like to extend an invitation to all members of law enforcement, the media and the public to join us for a memorial service, in honor of our fallen hero. The memorial service is scheduled to be held at the Duer Soccer Complex on Thursday, August 10th at 11:30am, and is meant to honor the sacrifice and celebrate life of K9 Cain.

For the safety of all in attendance, we ask that that only trained law enforcement animals be present at the complex during the ceremony. We also request that all media outlets arrive and set-up at the soccer complex a minimum of 30 minutes prior, in order to facilitate the orderly placement of recording equipment.

There will be a memorial funeral procession traveling north from Central Baptist Church, 1346 S. Main St, Crossville, TN 38555 at approximately 11:00am. We ask that participation in this procession be restricted to law enforcement / first responders only, who should arrive at 10:30am for staging. This restriction is due to the expected length of the procession, which will be traveling North on Main Street / US Hwy 127 to the Duer Soccer Complex, arriving for the ceremony at approximately 11:30am.

Directions to Duer Soccer Complex:

From I-40: Take exit 317, proceeding south on Highway 127. At first stoplight, #13, turn right onto Crossroads Drive and follow to the end.
