E-911 Dispatch Center Seeking Applicants for Possible Future Employment.

From E-911 Press Release:
The Crossville-Cumberland County E-911 Emergency Dispatch Center is currently creating an eligibility list for people interested in becoming an E-911 Dispatcher. No full-time openings for this position exist at this time.

E-911 Dispatchers take emergency and non-emergency calls from the public requesting assistance for law enforcement, fire and medical services. In addition, the dispatchers use radio dispatch to provide information to the above-mentioned service providers.

An application and job description for the E-911 Dispatcher can be picked up at the Crossville-Cumberland County E-911 Emergency Dispatch Center located at 42 Southbend Drive, in Crossville, Tennessee. The deadline for returning the application is February 2, 2018 at, 3:30pm.

Following the deadline, applicants that are successful in the application process will be considered and scheduled for further testing. For questions about the application process and the eligibility list please contact the Dispatch Center Director, Rod Shoap, at 931-484-0211.

The operation currently employs 22 Full-time and 2 part-time dispatchers.  Director Rod Shoap said he would like to have a list of potential employees tested and approved for future full-time positions as well as 2 additional part-time positions.
