Chilly Crossville Christmas Parade Well Attended and Fun for All. Photos here.

The Crossville Christmas Parade brought out kids of all ages to the parade route for floats, animals, candy and Santa Claus.

While light flurries were falling and the wind was biting with temperatures just below freezing the crowd was bundled up.

A Busy Saturday Incldues Numerous Events and the Crossville Christmas Parade.

Saturday, December 9 is set to be a busy and chilly day with a lot of events for the public including the annual Crossville Christmas Parade set for 4:30 PM through Downtown Crossville.

With the weather expected to be much more like winter, kids of all ages should dress warmly and in layers. There is a possibility of snow flurries and the high is only expected to be 38 degrees and windy on Saturday. Temperatures at the time of the parade could be falling toward freezing.

Santa Claus at the 2016 Christmas Parade

In addition to the parade, other Saturday Events include the Reindeer Run, a 5K fundraising event for the TAD Center starting at 8 AM. The entry fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt. Entry forms are available at the TAD Center and you can call them for more information.

The Crossville Breakfast Rotary Club annual Chili Cookoff is set for 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM raising funds for the scholarships and that is followed by the new Sweat and Sweet desert cookoff sponsored by the Young Professional's Alliance from 2-4 PM held at Social Brew.  

Members of the City of Crossville Police Department, Fire Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office will be partnering with the Early Literacy Council to hold a 1st Responders' Reading Event at the Cumberland County Courthouse Gazebo, from 2:30pm to approximately 3:15pm. The event, designed to give children an opportunity to participate in readings from children's Christmas stories. The Christmas Parade Theme is Reading around the Christmas Tree.

The Cumberland Homestead's Tower Association will be hosting a Christmas Open House Saturday, December 9 from 2 to 6 PM at the Homestead Tower and the Homestead House Museum. Admission is free and donations will be accepted.


The Crossville Christmas Parade lineup starts at Cumberland County High School at 2:30 and steps off at 4:30 coming up Stanley Street then down Main Street.

Crossville Christmas Parade 2016 chilly and well attended.

The 2016 version of the Crossville Christmas Parade was a big success and well attended even if it had turned chilly!  Temperatures during the parade were right at freezing but kids and adults bundled up and enjoyed all the floats and, of course Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Crossville Christmas Parade Saturday at 4:30 PM. Dress Warm!

The Annual Crossville Christmas Parade will be held Saturday December 10.  The parade steps off at 4:30 PM from CCHS and will come up Stanley Street to Main Street.  The weather is calling for cold temperatures topping out at 38 so dress warmly.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the part of the Crossville Christmas Parade
all the kids and kids at heart wait for. 

You are encouraged to spend part of your day in Downtown Crossville as there will be shopping and more to occupy you.  The 31st Annual Crossville Breakfast Rotary Chili Cook Off will be at the Crossville Depot from 11:30 to 1:30.  Once the judging is done you can get all you can eat chili for $5 and drinks are $1.  Chili would be a good thing on a chilly Saturday.
