JACKSON – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of Rupert Rogers on voter fraud charges in connection with the November 2016 election.
At the request of then 25th District Attorney General Michael Dunavant, TBI Agents began an investigation into the November 8, 2016, voting activities of 54-year-old Rupert Rogers of Ripley, TN.
On October 3rd, Rogers was arrested on voter fraud charges stemming from this incident. He is charged with improper registration or voting and false entries on voter documents. Rogers was booked into Lauderdale County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
