Heavy Rain Potential Leads to Flood Watch for Much of Tennessee Mid Thursday to Friday Evening

Flooding Rains Expected Thursday and Friday...

The first storm system of 2020 will bring more heavy rain to Middle Tennessee on Thursday and Friday, with rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches expected. The highest amounts are expected across southern Middle TN. This rainfall falling so soon after the recent heavy rain last Sunday could lead to more flooding across the area.



FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.


The Flood Watch continues for a portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, and Wilson.
