"Police said the dog was attempting to apprehend a suspect. Lt. Brian Eckelson with Crossville Police Department said the officers were in pursuit of a tractor trailer that was reported stolen, they received the call around 4:20 Wednesday morning."
UPDATED: As of early this afternoon it has been confirmed that the K-9 known as Cain did not survive his injuries and charges are pending against the suspect in the case.
