Chattanooga Shooting Suspect Named to TBI’s ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new addition to its ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ list, Dominique Lebron Collins.

Collins (DOB 1-18-88) is wanted by the Chattanooga Police Department and the TBI to face charges including Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon in connection to a shooting that occurred on April 13^th. Collins was last seen in a gold-colored Jeep and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Collins is an African-American man who stands 5’8” and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. There is a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.

Gainesboro Man Charged with Attempted Murder of Girlfriend.

NASHVILLE – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have arrested and charged a Gainesboro man in connection with the shooting of his girlfriend early this morning.

At the request of 15^th District Attorney General Tom Thompson, TBI Agents began investigating the incident that occurred in the 500 block of Stacy Cemetery Lane in Jackson County. During the course of the investigation, conducted with the assistance of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Agents developed information that Charles Carpenter (DOB 10-21-44) was the individual responsible for the crime. The victim received medical treatment and was released from the hospital later in the day.

Wednesday afternoon, authorities arrested Carpenter and charged him with one count of Criminal Attempt to Commit First Degree Murder. At the time of this release, Carpenter remained in the custody of the Jackson County Jail on $150,000 bond.
