Friday at the Crossroads Harvest Festival coming Friday October 6 to Downtown Crossville

Friday at the Crossroads comes back on Friday, October 6 and the weather looks like it will be excellent for the Friday evening event.

This month's theme is Harvest Festival and the event takes over Main Street and Downtown Crossville between 4 and 8 PM.

As the very popular event continues, there will be a wide variety of activities for all ages from inflatables and games for the kids to live music, shopping and more for the adults. In addition, there will be food trucks and booths as well as the downtown restaurants and businesses open. The petting zoo will also be back as well.

The Event is heading toward completion of its second year from a start by several local downtown area businesses that thought people might come out for such an event. The idea of giving the public a chance to get out and enjoy Main Street and Downtown Crossville continues to be very popular and friends meet and socialize during the event.

Roads in the downtown area will be closed including:
  • Main Street from Highway 70 to Neecham Street,
  • 4th Street from Thurman Street to West Avenue,
  • 2nd Street from Main Street to West Avenue,
  • 1st Street from West Avenue to Webb Avenue,
  • Stanley Street from Main Street to Webb Avenue.

Perfect weather helped make the second Rock the Block a crowd pleaser!

Weather for the second edition of the Rock the Block street party couldn't have been better with low humidity, cool temperatures, and sunshine.  The second event for the spinoff from the Friday at the Crossroads was very well attended and both adults and kids found something they could enjoy.  A variety of goodies from hot dogs to ice cream and even cotton candy for the Carnival edition of the event could be found.

Many local organizations, businesses, and churches had booths to share products and info with the public.

Rock the Block is a perfect event for families.

Homemade ice cream from the chugging old engine.

Hot dogs from Crazy dogs.

Cotton Candy was a popular treat too.

It was easy to find your way around through the balloon arches.

While the crowds came there was room for everyone.
