The First "Rock the Block" of 2018 Packs in the Crowds with Music, Food and Activities.

The rain held off for the first 2018 Rock the Block and the crowds came out to enjoy the Friday evening event.


Attractions included fun things for the kids to do, food from snacks like ice cream and kettle corn to barbeque and fried shrimp.  The group Manshoes provided live music including popular oldies and there were also lots of shopping and craft booths to check out.

In addition to fun photos and a display of the jaws of life by the Crossville Fire Department, there was beer tasting for adults courtesy of Social Brew and the ever-popular bounce house for the kids.


The next Rock the Block will take place on Friday, July 6.

Rock the Block Returns Friday May 4th with Live Music and Much More

Rock the Block returns to the southeast side of downtown Crossville Friday, May 4th from East First Street to Highway 70E.  The event goes from 4 to 8 PM and will include a large number of booths in the closed portion of Stanley Street between Main and Webb Avenue. 


In addition to a large number of businesses coming out, there will be food and live music from the band Manshoes, exhibits, games, and shopping to take advantage of.

Cumberland Hispanic Festival on Saturday September 16 at Community Complex

The Cumberland Hispanic Festival comes to the Cumberland County Community Complex on Saturday, September 16 from Noon to 11 PM and will feature food, music, dancing and much more.


This event has been held for several years now and gets bigger each year.  Admission is free and visitors will find crafts from Tennessee and all over the world along with a variety of ethnic foods too.

Wonderful music and entertainment includes traditional Flamenco music, DJ music, and even Aztec Dancers Fire Dancers.

There's even a special free area for kids with inflatables, pinatas, crafts and other kid-friendly activities.

Crossville Waterfest Event at Meadow Park Lake July 22 from 3-8 PM

The annual Waterfest event at Meadow Park Lake is Saturday July 22 featuring lots of outdoor activities fro kids and adults.

Sponsored by the City of Crossville, Obed Watershed Community Organization, Veolia, TSRA and Meadow Park Lake, the event starts at 3 PM and ends at 8 PM.  Activities both on and off the water are planned.

Events included:

  • Free Paddle Fun from 3 to 6 PM on canoes, kayaks, sit and stand paddle boards including help from a certified TSRA instructor.
  • Twilight Paddle will be from 6 to 7 PM
  • Pontoon boat torus of Meadow Park Lake from 3 to 7 PM to see the lake and wildlife including possible eagle sightings.
  • LIVE MUSIC from 5 to 8 PM includes the Emory Bluff Band, the Mattingly Family Band and Manshoes. 
  • Live animal exhibits from Cumberland Mountain State Park, native fish tank from TWRA, and more.
  • Kids activities from 3 to 6 PM including crafts, bubbles and games.
  • Free water from Cumberland Medical Center.
  • Free Ice Cream and Kettle Corn from City of Crossville.
  • Food available including  BBQ, hot dogs, veggie burgers and sodas.
