August Friday at the Crossroads shortened by rain but still was fun while it lasted.

For the first time since the event started last year the rain dampened the spirits of the bi-monthly community downtown celebration Friday at the Crossroads.  The event started at 4 PM and was just getting wound up by 5:30 when rain, wind and thunderstorms moved through the downtown area sending most displays and visitors undercover.

 The next Friday at the Crossroads will be held October 6.  And the second Rock the Block event held along North Stanley Street is set for September 8.

Friday at the Crossroads brought out kids with the

theme Back to School.

Painting and hiding rocks remains a popular pastime for kids. 

Kids could even try and "Dunk a Teacher" courtesy of the

Rotary Club for a small donation.

Many local businesses and organizations had displays

Churches too.

It's always great to see folks downtown!

Flip Flop Friday at the Crossroads another success for kids and kids at heart.

Friday at the Crossroads continues to be successful at bringing folks to Main Street and Downtown area businesses for a community event that includes fun, food and music.  While the weather was warm and sunny it was not too humid and that brought out the community.  Many seem to to really enjoy the chance to get out on a Friday evening and just enjoy historic Downtown Crossville,

The next Friday at the Crossroads is set for August 4th!

December 1: 

The Christmas tree at the Crossville Depot will be lit by Crossville Mayor James Mayberry at 5 pm tomorrow . . . December 1st. but gather before then to meet Santa Claus and hear the Three Good Looking Guys Quartet performing  There will be also cloggers and the Crossville Center of Dance will feature their dancers and the Depot will be serving Apple Cider.  Boston’s will be open at 4:30 for supper / dinner. As will Social Brew and Grinder House.

December 2:

Public invited to a Christmas Party, December 2 at the Crossville Housing Authority meeting room at First St. and Irwin Avenue at 6 PM. It is sponsored by the Cumberland County Democratic Women's Committee. We would love to have anyone who wants to become involved in our Democracy come and meet us. Bring a dish to share or not.
