Freeze Warning overnight Wednesday from Midnight to 9 AM Thursday April 5

Cold air will invade Middle Tennessee tonight. With calm winds and high-pressure overhead, maximum cooling will be likely. Temperatures are expected to become cold enough for frost around midnight and fall below freezing after 4 am.



FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM CDT THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM CDT Thursday.

* TEMPERATURE...29 to 32 degrees.

Freeze Warning Overnight Wednesday--Protect Delicate Plants.

Freezing Warning from 1 AM until 9 AM Thursday morning for all of Middle Tennessee.


Cold high pressure will keep a Canadian air mass locked in across Middle Tennessee for one more night. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid 20`s to low 30`s early Thursday morning.

School Closing for Wed. March 21.

Several area school systems are closed on Wednesday March 21 due to snow on the Plateau.



Closed school systems include Cumberland Co, Morgan County, White County, Overton County and Scott County.
A winter weather advisory continues until 10 AM this morning and another freeze warning is in effect for Wednesday night into Thursday.

Freeze Warning and Winter Weather Advisory Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

Freezing Temperatures Expected Tonight Across All Of Middle Tennessee.

As Canadian based high-pressure system influences usher in a colder airmass across the mid-state tonight, temperatures are expected to fall to freezing if not below freezing across all of Middle Tennessee, especially in lower lying locations. Sensitive outdoor vegetation may be damaged or killed.

Freeze Warning in effect from 1 AM Wednesday to 10 AM Wednesday.

 A Winter Weather Advisory Is In Effect From The Mid Evening
Hours Tonight Through The Mid Morning Hours on Wednesday...


As an upper-level disturbance moves across eastern portions of
the Highland Rim and Upper Cumberland Regions from the mid-evening
hours tonight through the mid-morning hours on Wednesday,
accumulating snowfall will be possible. Total snow accumulations
of one, up to two inches across northern higher elevations of the
Upper Cumberland Region, are expected.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM CDT WEDNESDAY.
  • WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of one, up to two inches across northern higher elevations of the Upper Cumberland Region, are expected.  
  • WHERE...Eastern Portions of the Highland Rim and Upper Cumberland Regions of Middle Tennessee. 
  • WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM CDT Wednesday. 
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.

Natl. Weather Service issues Freeze Warning for Cumberland Co. Sunday night into Monday morning.

AFter cold tempratures Saturday night, many folks woke up to a light dusting 
of snow on the Plateau Saturday morning. 

A Freeze Warning is in now in effect from Midnight tonight
through Monday morning for the Cumberland Plateau.
A Frost Advisory is in effect from Midnight tonight through Monday morning for central portions of Middle Tennessee. The coldest temperatures of the fall, thus far, are expected this morning and again tonight. Skies are expected to clear out near the Tennessee River this morning by sunrise and allow for some areas of frost to develop. For tonight, temperatures on the Cumberland Plateau should fall to, or just below freezing for several hours. Locations to the west of the Plateau will be a few degrees warmer but areas of frost are still expected to develop.

MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Freeze
Warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM CDT
Monday. The Freeze Watch is no longer in effect.

* TEMPERATURE...Locations across the Cumberland Plateau will see
  widespread temperatures of 30 to 32 degrees.

* IMPACTS...Sensitive outdoor vegetation may be killed by the
  freezing temperatures.

Freeze Warning tonight for Cumberland Co. and middle Tennessee. Plants may need protection

Freeze Warning Late Tonight into Early Saturday Morning for Much of
Middle Tennessee.

FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 8 AM CDT
SATURDAY
A cool high pressure system will move to the Mid State tonight. Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop off to the lower 30s for most areas, but sheltered locations and valleys will drop into the upper 20s. These conditions could cause damage to some plants. Action should be taken today to protect plants, including bringing small plants indoors and covering outdoor plants.

No snow expected, but tender plants could be threatened.
