October's Friday at the Crossroads had some of the best crowds and weather so far.

It looked like the Harvest Festival version of Friday at the Crossroads brought one of the biggest crowds to the almost 2-year-old bi-monthly event.  Part of what brought the crowds was the weather that could not have been any better for the Friday night street party and event.

Friday at the Crossroads started back in 2016 and continues to grow and bring crowds out to the businesses and events held in historic Downtown Crossville.

The crowds filled Main Street and there was music scattered through the blocks of Downtown closed for the huge event.  One final Friday at the Crossroads is scheduled for December 1, 2017, and with the growing success, it should be back again in 2018.

Next Friday at the Crossroads August 4 in Downtown Crossville

The popular Friday at the Crossroads event comes every two months and this Friday August 4th is the next one.  This event promotes "Back to School" and many participants will be collecting school items and funds to help children who need school supplies their family can't afford and to help teachers as well.

The event, as always, will feature great shopping and extended hours by many downtown businesses. There will be music, food and games and activities for kids.  Don't forget that many participants are not just on Main Street and the events cover blocks on either side of Main Street as well.

Rock the Block brings out big crowds for fun and festivities

After the success of a series of downtown block parties, some downtown area merchants off of Main Street decided to try an alternative location for another block party and Rock the Block was born.  According to organizers, some 56 vendors participated in the event and the nice weather came in after an early shower and the crowds came out.

Stanley Street between Main Street and Webb Avenue was closed along with a side street and the area was filled with tents and tables and exhibits.  In addition some events were held across Highway 70 and the crowds milled about to see a live owl and exhibits from the TWRA.

A great crowd attended.

Independence Day Events scheduled for July Fourth in Crossville.

Crossville TN July 4^th events

• All City and County offices will be closed on July 4

• July Fourth Pro Troop Rally will be held from 9 AM to 1 PM on the Cumberland Co. Courthouse lawn. The program will included speakers, entertainers, along with food, drinks and water donated by local merchants. Those attending are encouraged to bring chairs.

• Kids Parade sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution starts at 10 AM at the Palace Theatre on Main Street.

• Cumberland Co. Community Chorus performs at the Spirit Amphitheater between the courthouse and the library. Program starts at 11 AM and no admission charge.

• Annual city July Fourth event starts at 5 PM and Crossville Centennial Park with concessions and inflatables for the kids. Carrie Hassler and Soul Survivor performs starting at 6:30 PM and fireworks starting at 9 PM.

Flip Flop Friday at the Crossroads another success for kids and kids at heart.

Friday at the Crossroads continues to be successful at bringing folks to Main Street and Downtown area businesses for a community event that includes fun, food and music.  While the weather was warm and sunny it was not too humid and that brought out the community.  Many seem to to really enjoy the chance to get out on a Friday evening and just enjoy historic Downtown Crossville,

The next Friday at the Crossroads is set for August 4th!
