WIND ADVISORY FOR ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE TODAY.

A strong cold front will sweep through Middle Tennessee today,
causing windy conditions to develop across the mid state.
Winds will pick up this morning and last into the evening before
diminishing just before midnight.

WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO
MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT.

* TIMING...Windy conditions will develop this morning and persist
  through the evening.

* WINDS...Sustained speeds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as
  45 mph.

* IMPACTS...Minor wind damage is possible along with impaired
  driving conditions.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM CDT MONDAY TO 7 AM CDT
TUESDAY


Strong winds associated with Hurricane Irma will occur as it
approaches Middle Tennessee on Monday night. Even though Irma
will weaken from a tropical storm to a tropical depression as it
approaches Middle Tennessee, sustained northeast winds of 20 to
35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph can be expected across Middle
Tennessee on Monday night.

Hazardous Weather Outlook:

Today and Tonight

Hurricane Irma is expected to weaken to a tropical depression and
bring rain and windy conditions to Middle Tennessee later this
afternoon and into early Tuesday morning. A wind advisory is in
effect for the mid state, where winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts
to 45 mph will be common. Gusts to 50 mph will also be possible
for some areas. Heavy rainfall is possible as well, with amounts
of 1 to 3 inches mainly from Monday afternoon through Tuesday
morning.

Tuesday through Wednesday

Gusty winds may continue Tuesday morning around 15 to 25 mph and
gusts to 35 mph before calming down during the day.

Scattered power outages reported. Wind advisory in effect until 7 PM

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Cumberland Co and

parts of Tennessee.  Cumberland COunty's advisory is in effect between 10 AM

7 PM.  

As of 7 AM, Volunteer Energy was reporting some 5100 customers without power.

A wind advisory is in effect until 10 PM this evening and colder temperatures with scattered rain are in the forecast April 6.  Low tonight around 35 degrees! Bundle up.

10 PM CDT this evening. Sustained breezy winds 15 to 25 mph, with
gusts 40 to 45 mph possible.

Wind advisory for all of Middle Tennessee until noon and for the Cumberland Plateau until 3 pm. 

A strong cold front will enter Middle Tennessee early Tuesday morning and will move through the mid state throughout the day. Winds ahead and just behind the front will be unusually strong, with sustained speeds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts as high as 50 mph.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle Tennessee. 

A wind advisory remains in effect today for sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph...and gusts as high as 40 to 50 mph. Winds this high can easily blow down branches and shallow rooted trees. In addition, a line of thunderstorms will sweep across the area, and a few of the thunderstorms could produce similarly strong and potentially damaging wind gusts.
