PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties.
Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities,
and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions
for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
A cold front will move through the area late today and this evening, followed by a period
of light snow. Snowfall will average around 1 inch across Middle Tennessee, with some higher
amounts around 2 inches possible, especially across the northwest counties and Plateau.
Along with the snow, temperatures will plummet to the teens overnight, and will not rise
much at all on Tuesday. The wind will not be terribly strong, but it will be enough to keep
wind chills in the single digits late tonight through Tuesday. Roads will become snow covered
and slippery, and with cold temperatures, the snow will stick around for a couple of days.
