Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies Dustin Hensley and Bobby Moore were presented the 2018 “Beyond the Traffic Stop" Award by Director Vic Donoho from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office. This award is given in recognition for outstanding traffic enforcement efforts that result in criminals being apprehended and /or criminal activity being stopped.

During a routine patrol shift, Deputy Moore and Deputy Hensley conducted a traffic stop in Cumberland County. During the traffic stop, illegal narcotics were discovered. The investigation continued to other traffic stops and searches of residences within Cumberland County being conducted. As their investigation was concluded numerous suspects were arrested and drugs were seized. The drugs seized included illicitly used prescription pills, marijuana, cocaine, and fentanyl. As a result of Deputy Hensley’s and Deputy Moore’s outstanding law enforcement efforts a major crime was solved and a drug organization in Cumberland County was dismantled.
Sheriff Casey Cox said, “We applaud these two Deputies for their hard work and diligence in solving this case and keeping the citizens of Cumberland County safer. They are committed daily to our community in making it a safe and enjoyable place to live, work, and raise our families.”
