Work on repairs to I-40 between Westel and Harriman continues and TDOT now estimates the work will be completed by Friday, March 14 at 4 PM.
The work has had one lane of the Interstate closed around the 334 mile-mark and backups have been reported at times several miles depending on how much traffic is on the road. The unscheduled work began February 27.
The work stems from the extensive record rainfall over the last several weeks,
