Traffic Delays Continue on East Bound I-40 in Roane County

TDOT continues to work on damage to the road in I-40 going down the escarpment from the plateau into the eastern valley. 

Originally estimated to be completed last weekend, the latest estimate for completion is Friday, March 8.  With the right lane blocked, delays continue depending on the time of day and the amount of traffic. 

An alternate route is to take Highway 70 to Rockwood and then get on I-40 at Harriman.
