Lawsuit phone scam reported locally

We have had a report that this scam was attempted on a Fairfield Glade resident late last week.  The call threatened to have the person arrested unless they paid.

The one who received the call suspected it was a hoax and reported it to law enforcement and the court clerk.  

Residents are cautioned to be cautious of phone calls of a similar nature.  Officials say that a civil action is different then a criminal action that results in an arrest.
