NOAA Special Weather Statement: Weather forecast calls for snow. Question is how much?

Snow Accumulations are Possible Saturday Night...

A late season snowfall is possible across Middle Tennessee
as cold air is expected to filter into the state and change rain
Saturday afternoon into snow Saturday night.

Some uncertainty still exists to exactly how much snowfall will
occur, but it looks like the best chance for accumulation will be
on the Cumberland Plateau, where up to 2 inches will be possible.
Areas along and north of I-40 will also have a shot of up to an
inch. For those south of I-40, a dusting will be possible.

Thanks to our recent warm weather, ground temperatures will be
pretty warm this weekend. However, as temperatures drop into the
middle and upper 20s Saturday night, some slick spots could
develop on area roadways, especially over the north.
Please stay informed of the weather forecast this weekend and be
ready to adjust your travel plans as needed, especially for
Saturday night.

Snow is also forecast next week for Monday night and Tuesday morning.
