The Cumberland County Commission will hold a public hearing and a special called meeting to approve the county's 2018-19 fiscal year budget and property tax rate on Thursday, August 9.
The public hearing on the budget and tax rate is set for 6:30 PM and the special called commission meeting will be held at 7 PM.
The county property tax rate of $1.5653 is divided up with $0.6121 for the general fund, $0.61 for the school fund, $0.1207 for solid waste and sanitation fund and $0.2225 for the general debt service fund.

The county has been operating under a continuing resolution since the start of the 2018-19 fiscal year on July 1.
