Multi-Agency Operation leads to Numerous Charges against Putnam and Overton Co residents.

COOKEVILLE – A joint operation conducted by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Drug Investigation Division and multiple local enforcement agencies in East Tennessee has resulted in the arrest of nine individuals, after they were indicted on a variety of drug-related charges.

On July 20^th, the Overton County Grand Jury returned indictments charging several individuals with multiple charges, ranging from the sale and delivery of scheduled narcotics, to theft and kidnapping. Over a two-day period, law enforcement officers from the following agencies cooperated in arresting those who had been indicted: Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Overton County Sheriff’s Department, Middle Tennessee Appalachia HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), 13^th Judicial District Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Cookeville Police Department, Crossville Police Department, and Sparta Police Department.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, nine individuals were arrested and booked into the Overton County Jail.

Roy Edwards (DOB 01/21/1973), Livingston. One count Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance, one count Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance. Bond: $60,000.
Heather D. Bowman (DOB 01/12/1976), Livingston. Two counts Sale of Schedule III Controlled Substance, two counts Delivery of Schedule III Controlled Substance. Bond: $50,000.
Richard Allen Edwards (DOB 08/09/1968), Rickman. One count sale of Schedule II in Drug-Free School Zone, one count Delivery of Schedule II in Drug-Free School Zone. Bond: $75,000.
Angela Akers (DOB 01/16/1974), Cookeville. One count Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, one count Criminal Conspiracy/ Aggravated Burglary, one count Aggravated Burglary, one count Theft of Property. Bond: $125,000.
Jimmy Ray Curtis (DOB 03/30/1955), Allons. Two counts Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance, two counts Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance. Bond: $125,000.
April K. Cope (DOB 04/11/1978), Hilham. Two counts Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance, two counts Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance. Bond: $125,000.
Terry Marie Craig (DOB 02/05/1964), Cookeville. One count Sale of Schedule III Controlled Substance, one count Delivery of Schedule III Controlled Substance. Bond: $30,000.
Tammy Renee Daily (DOB 05/06/1963), Cookeville. One count Possession of Schedule VI with Intent to Deliver. Bond: $2,500.
Kimberly Thrasher (DOB 10/20/1962), Hilham. One count Sale of Schedule II in Drug-Free School Zone, one count delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance, one count TennCare Fraud. Bond: $95,000.
