Friday evening wreck at Highway 70-E and
Village Way. The vehicle struck the telephone at
the corner of the intersection and the force of the crash
swung the pickup truck around. The driver, in the
black shirt and blue jeans above, was shaken up but
did not appear to be badly injured and was picking up
the items that came from the back of his truck.
The truck struck the telephone pole at the front on the
passenger side. Had anyone been in the passenger seat
they would have been badly injured. The cab of the
truck was separated from the bed and the drive shaft was
knocked completely loose by the impact.
An old, unused telephone box was also damaged in the crash.
